Medline has chosen Zebra Technologies’ TC51 touch computer for its warehouse operations as part of an upgrade for its voice-directed picking solution.
The TC51 touch computer paired with Zebra’s HS3100 Rugged Bluetooth headset will help Medline quickly and efficiently process more outbound customer orders with its voice-directed picking solution. Workers will be able to move freely without a wired headset as orders are processed.
The TC51 touch computer is part of Zebra’s Androi OS portfolio and enables Medline to move its warehouse teams seamlessly to an Android OS as Windows CE support ends in 2020. Ease of use design of the TC51 touch computer also appealed to Medline for its front-line warehouse workers. The TC51 delivers the look and feel of a smartphone with the ruggedness, security and durability of an enterprise device.
“The TC51 functions like a smartphone with the ruggedness of an industrial device,” Paul Ancona, VP engineering operations, Medline, said.
