11.08.08

Polyvinylidene Fluoride, or PVDF is a highly non-reactive and pure thermoplastic fluoropolymer. It is also known as KYNAR, HYLAR or SYGEF. It is the base chemical used in most polymer piezoelectric materials. The PVDF family of materials reportedly offers advantages for arrays of transducers, especially large arrays.
