RFID Lab Finland, the leading Finnish application center for RFID technology originally founded in 2004, has been reorganized as a public industry association ”RFID Lab Finland ry” and the new board was appointed in the founding meeting held on February 3, 2009. Among the appointments was Enfucell COO Risto Huvila, who has been appointed to the Board of RFID Lab Finland

The new board is chaired by Jarkko Miettinen, VP business development at Confidex, and vice-chaired by Samuli Strömberg, VP marketing at UPM Raflatac.

Other board members represent the following companies and organizations: City of Vantaa/Vantaa Innovation Institute, Nokia Corporation, GS1 Finland, Helsinki University of Technology, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, VTT Finnish Research Center, TeliaSonera, Elisa, Vilant Systems, Norfello/Loginets and Enfucell.

RFID Lab Finland is run under the leadership of Dr. Mikko Punakivi.
