Evergreen Solar, Inc. announced that it has appointed Henry Ng to the position of general manager – Asian operations. Prior to joining Evergreen Solar, Ng was general manager of the Suntech Power Holding Co., Ltd. factory in Wuxi, a position he held since July 2007. During the previous 25 years, he held Asian-based senior leadership positions, principally at Sony.

“We are excited to have Henry take the leadership role in our Wuhan, China-based wafer expansion,” stated Richard M. Feldt, chairman, CEO and president. “He brings significant wafer knowledge and cell and panel manufacturing experience in a high growth environment that will be valuable in working with Jiawei, our cell and panel contract manufacturing partner.”
