Impinj, Inc. announced that Rush Tracking Systems has selected the Speedway Revolution reader for the VisiblEdge RFID lift truck solution.

VisiblEdge is a complete, turnkey solution ideally suited for industrial manufacturing and warehousing operations supporting business processes such as WIP tracking, automated shipping and receiving, returnable container tracking, waste management and other hands-off asset tracking applications. To enhance real-time inventory accuracy, the VisiblEdge solution automatically captures product or asset identification and location information without operator interaction.

Chosen by Rush Tracking for its compact size, top-rated performance and rugged design, the Speedway Revolution reader recently passed rigorous Mil-Std-810G tests, which certify products for use on industrial vehicles in a wide range of extreme conditions including vibration and shocks up to 50 Gs.

“As an important achievement for any product that will be used in a strenuous material handling environment, the Mil-Std-801G tests clearly highlight the unmatched quality and first class design that has gone into the Speedway Revolution reader,” said Scott Andersen, vice president of professional services at Rush Tracking Systems. “With this level of testing and certification, our customers feel confident that the Speedway Revolution reader will complement VisiblEdge’s reputation as an accurate and reliable inventory tracking solution.”

Launched in September, the Speedway Revolution reader features Autopilot technology, which sets new standards in RFID reader performance, ease-of-use and rugged reliability. Impinj’s patented Autopilot technology continuously and automatically optimizes the reader for its operating environment to deliver peak performance at all times. For lift truck applications in particular, RFID system performance depends upon many ever-changing environmental conditions, including RF interference levels, tag density in the reader field and ambient RF noise.

“We are pleased with the rapid acceptance of the Speedway Revolution reader in the marketplace,” said Kerry Krause, vice president of marketing at Impinj. “Rush Tracking’s experience in delivering high quality and reliable RFID solutions coupled with Speedway Revolution’s performance will provide customers with an excellent lift truck solution.”
