Touch And Post, the Cypak TAP interface for medical devices excited the crowd at the Continua Health Allliance Summit in San Diego, CA.

Ease of use is key for successful implementation of Connected Health solutions. Cypak Touch And Post enables clients to post their data to a mobile reader, either for use by themselves or by a remote health care professional, with a simple touch of their medical device. Cypak Touch And Post could not be easier.

Touch And Post is a Cypak implementation of the emerging NFC standard for near field communications. Proven in Japan, where over 100 million NFC phones have been sold, and in several European trials for banking and transport, NFC is the future interface of choice for the mobile citizen. NFC works instantly - there is no waiting for set-up delays or pairing. Privacy is ensured by the need to touch the mobile device to the reader.

Per Nathanaelson, Cypak CEO, demonstrated a wide range of TAP devices - medication monitors according to the new IEEE/ISO 11073-10472 standard, a disposable screening device for diabetes, a pedometer in credit card format, an oximeter, a spirometer, and a variety of diagnostic report cards.

Chris Johnson, Cypak vice president of marketing, commented, " Ease of use is central to our future use of net based services. In the medical field we do not screen for technical literacy - everybody needs a doctor sooner or later. The TAP system is the way forward and is intuitively easy to use for everybody whether they are handicapped, illiterate, or just don't like computers."
