Odersun AG, custom manufacturer of thin-film solar cells and modules, announced the appointment of Mr. Frank Prein as its COO and member of the board of management.

With a more than 20-year record in technology and manufacturing, Prein brings wide operations experience to Odersun. He previously held various executive technology and operations positions, lastly as managing director of Qimonda’s German operations in Dresden.

The appointment of Prein as COO follows the recent product certification and start of ramp-up of the company’s 20MWp production facilities in Fuerstenwald, Germany.

“Odersun’s technology is unique. It enables manufacturing of customized products for the solar market. Shaping this potential in operations is a fascinating task,” said Prein.

Frank Prein will be appointed as COO and member of the board of management of Odersun AG with effect from April 1, 2010.
