Optomec announced that Dave Ramahi, Optomec’s president/CEO, will give a presentation titled “Aerosol Jet: Printed Electronics - Pathway to Production” at the IDTechEx Printed Electronics conference in Dresden, Germany on April 14.
In addition, Ramahi will present an executive summary of Optomec’s business and financial outlook during the Investment Summit, and the company will participate in the exhibition (booth 49). The conference will be held April 13-14 at the Maritim Congress Center in Dresden, Germany.
Ramahi will explain how Optomec’s Aerosol Jet system is a breakthrough printing technology used in the development and production of next generation devices such as high efficiency solar cells, lightweight fuel cells, touchscreen displays and 3D multi-chip packaging for smart phones. Aerosol Jet printing enables finer feature sizes than traditional screen printing and ink-jetting processes. The patented solution utilizes an innovative aerodynamic focusing technology that produces electronic and physical structures with feature sizes down to 10 microns.
The Aerosol Jet system supports a wide variety of materials, including conductive nanoparticle inks and screen-printing pastes, polymers, insulators, adhesives, etchants, and even biological matter that can be accurately deposited by the Aerosol Jet system onto planar and non-planar substrates.
