eMagin Corporation, the leader in the development, design and manufacture of active matrix OLED microdisplays for high resolution imaging products, announced that it ranked number 185 on Technology Fast 500, Deloitte's ranking of 500 of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. Rankings are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth during the period from 2005-2009.
eMagin CEO Andrew Sculley credits proprietary intellectual property and processes as well as the inherent advantages of OLED technology with the company's 536% revenue growth.
"We continue to move the business forward, leveraging eMagin's proprietary OLED technology in the design and manufacture of microdisplays that offer advantages in power consumption, contrast, and display size,” Sculley added. “Both sales to the military market and revenues derived from research and development contracts continue to increase steadily, permitting us to develop and advance a broader portfolio of microdisplay products which serve a variety of military, industrial and consumer applications."
"eMagin and the other 2010 Technology Fast 500(TM) winners forged ahead in a challenging economic environment to realize exceptional growth," said Phil Asmundson, vice chairman and Deloitte's U.S. technology, media and telecommunications leader. "Deloitte commends eMagin for this impressive accomplishment."
"eMagin has proved itself to be one of the fastest growing tech companies in North America, and we are proud to honor them as one of the 2010 Technology Fast 500," said Mark Jensen, managing partner, venture capital services, Deloitte & Touche LLP.
