Intrinsiq Materials Appoints Bob Cournoyer to Head Up Printed Electronics Division in Rochester, NY

Intrinsiq Materials announced the appointment of Dr. Bob Cournoyer as president of Intrinsiq Materials’ Printed Electronics division. He joins Intrinsiq Materials following a career in both commercial and technical leadership, with his last role as general manager and vice president, optical display films for Dow Chemical.
Dr. Cournoyer will be based at Intrinsiq Material’s recently opened Rochester, NY facility where he will oversee the expansion and growth of the conductive inks business. Commenting on the appointment, CEO Jonathan Tudor said, “I’m delighted that we have been able to secure the services of Bob for Intrinsiq. His experience in leading businesses through expansion and growth will be invaluable to the business. His knowledge and expertise in the displays and materials market will further enhance the strong team already in place.”
Dr. Cournoyer will take up his position from Dec.1, 2010, when he will be attending Printed Electronics USA 2010 in Santa Clara, CA. On his appointment, Dr. Cournoyer said, “I am pleased and excited to be able to lead Intrinsiq Materials into its next phase of growth in printed electronics. I am convinced that the company’s products will have a huge impact on the shape of the electronics industry going forward.”
Intrinsiq’s Rochester facility will begin production of Intrinsiq’s novel conductive inks during 2011. Intrinsiq is currently working with a broad set of international customers and partners on nanoparticle-based copper, nickel and silicon inks on applications which include military, aerospace, RFID, displays, PV, PCB and packaging.
