QD Vision Featured at National Nanotechnology Innovation Conference and Showcase

Posted on December 2, 2010 @ 11:49 am

The National Nanotechnology Innovation Conference and Showcase will be the venue as QD Vision demonstrates the latest lighting and display products based on its quantum dot LED technology. In addition, CTO and co-founder Dr. Seth Coe-Sullivan will present on Quantum Dots for Lighting and Display Applications.

At booth 238 at the Gaylord Convention Center, QD Vision will highlight:

• The first quantum dot-based commercial product, QD Vision's Quantum Light optic, which enables LED lighting companies to produce lamps and downlight fixtures that combine the familiar warmth and color of incandescent bulbs with the energy efficiency of LED technology. The first lamp incorporating theQuantum Light optic became available in the first quarter of 2010.

• The latest in quantum dot LED (QLED) display technology. QLEDs are a reliable, energy efficient, tunable color solution that reduce manufacturing costs, while employing ultra-thin, transparent or flexible materials. Still in the early stages of commercialization, QLEDs can already be used in certain defense and security related products that require precision color solutions in an ultra-slim form factor, including monochrome visible and infrared displays, and lighting devices for machine and night vision applications.

The Showcase is part of the Nanotechnology Innovation Summit to be held on Dec. 8-10 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, MD. The Showcase will be open on December 8, 5-7:30 p.m., and Dec. 9, 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

Dr. Coe-Sullivan will participate on a panel that will address Innovations in Energy Technologies, at this once in a decade gathering of the nation's top federal agencies, innovators and investors.
