Sunovis GmbH and Hanwha Q.CELLS have launched a 1 MW industrial rooftop PV installation in Jessen, Saxony-Anhalt. The installation was planned and implemented by the German solar developer Sunovis GmbH, and uses the Q.FLAT system for commercial and industrial flat roofs of Hanwha Q.CELLS. The system has been installed in just 10 days time on an industrial flat roof in Jessen.
With an output capacity of around 1 MWp the installation consisting of around 4,000 Q.PRO-G2 crystalline solar modules will generate enough electricity to power more than 200 homes a year and cut annual CO2 emissions by an estimated 500 tons.
“This flatroof PV system is a prime example for intelligent ways of generating and utilizing clean energy,” Raphael Huber, CEO of Sunovis GmbH, said. “Hanwha Q.CELLS has been very supportive during all phases of realizing this project.”
The PV system developer based in Singen, Germany, plans to sell part of the electricity produced by the installation directly on site.
