According to reports, the Hanergy group recently completed its acquisition of MiaSolé, a thin-film copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) photovoltaics pioneer, headquartered in Santa Clara, CA.

MiaSolé had struggled of late, and announced a major reorganization plan in August 2012, cutting back its manufacturing efforts and workforce.

Hanergy had recently added Q-Cells’ Solibro division as a subsidiary of Hanergy, which is based in Beijing.
