Blue Spark Technologies announced that John Gannon has accepted the position of president and CEO. Former CEO Norbert Dawalibi will play an active role in the company as the new executive chairman of the board.
“I am delighted that John will be joining the Blue Spark management team,” Mr. Dawalibi said. “He brings a deep understanding of the technology industry and most importantly the energy and drive to lead Blue Spark as we move aggressively into the commercialization of our unique and patented products. Gannon’s distinguished career includes senior executive positions at companies such as Equitek Capital, Barclays Capital, NationsBank, Merrill Lynch International and General Electric. Since 2004, Mr. Gannon has been a general partner at SunBridge Partners, an early-stage venture capital group which employs a targeted pro-active research approach to identify future market leaders in the areas of Software-as-a-Service, Wireless and Power. Gannon obtained his bachelor of science from Pennsylvania State University in aerospace engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
