ALTANA AG is making a change in the top positions of its four divisions. As of Nov. 1, 2012, the presidents of the company's divisions, BYK, ECKART, ELANTAS and ACTEGA, will each take over responsibility for another division of ALTANA AG. With this rotation, ALTANA aims to promote the transfer of know-how within the group and further strengthen its innovative capacity.
"This realignment of the divisions' presidents will provide ALTANA AG with new growth prospects and help further enhance the use of potential synergies. We are convinced that the four division presidents will continue their successful work in these new positions and will give fresh impetus to the business with their proven expertise and experience. This reorganization aims to expand the flexibility and innovative strength of the Group as a whole and, thus, to bolster the global leadership of ALTANA AG's four divisions," said Dr. Matthias L. Wolfgruber, CEO of ALTANA AG.
With these changes, Dr. Roland Peter, up until now president Division BYK Additives & Instruments, will take over the management of ACTEGA Coatings & Sealants from Dr. Guido Forstbach, who will now head ELANTAS Electrical Insulation. The latter division's previous president, Dr. Wolfgang Schütt will now assume the management of ECKART Effect Pigments, whose former president, Dr. Christoph Schlünken, will take over the management of BYK.
This measure is not connected with structural or strategic changes within the Group or the four divisions.
"ALTANA has developed into a leading specialty chemicals company over the past years; and this, not least because of the excellent work of the presidents of the four divisions. With these changes in the top management positions, we will successfully continue on our course," stated Dr. Wolfgruber.
