QD Vision, Inc., manufacturer of Color IQ™ optical components for LCD applications, congratulated Sony on receiving the European TV of the year award for 2013-2014 from the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA).
Sony was recently awarded the EISA award for its LCD TV model KDL-55W905A featuring Triluminos color and QD Vision’s Color IQ optical component. Color IQ optics significantly increase color performance and create a far more immersive viewing experience when compared to other LCD TVs. These ground-breaking Sony TVs deliver unmatched color, and demonstrate that LCD TVs can match OLED color performance at a fraction of the system cost.
“Our team was very pleased and honored to have helped contribute in some way to this big win for Sony,” said Jason Carlson, QD Vision CEO, “The Sony team has done a great job delivering these amazing new TVs, and we congratulate them on winning the prestigious EISA award. QD Vision is actively commercializing new LCD products in multiple applications. Look for Color IQ optics in other LCD applications coming to market soon.”
QD Vision, Inc. recently also took home Gold in the Component of the Year category for Color IQ optics at the Society for Information Display (SID) Display Week in Vancouver, British Columbia. At the publicly announced launch of these Sony TVs during CES in Las Vegas 2013, Tech Radar awarded Sony the Best in Show and Best Home Theater Product award for the Sony BRAVIA 4K 65 inch TV featuring Color IQ optics for color quality. QD Vision has received numerous additional accolades, including the Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award and Emerging Company of the Year by the New England Clean Energy Council. Sony televisions containing Color IQ optics are available through major electronics retailers.
