Quantum Materials will introduce a new class of high-reliability cadmium-free quantum dots at the Society of Information Display (SID) Display Week 2015 International Symposium in San Jose on June 1.
“We have optimized a new class of rugged and highly-reliable quantum dots with robust resistance to heat, oxidation and moisture,” said Quantum Materials CEO Stephen Squires. “We expect that the environmental resistance of these custom quantum dots will reduce the need for high component cost protective barrier films in display manufacturing and accelerate solid state lighting development due to their high heat and oxidation stability.”
