Impinj announced that Theresa Wise has joined its board of directors. Wise is an information technology veteran who served as SVP and CIO for Delta Airlines from 2008 to 2016. She announced her retirement from Delta earlier this year.
“Her operational expertise, deep knowledge of process optimization in complex, distributed systems and her vision in using technology to improve customer experience is synergistic with Impinj’s mission of connecting every item in your everyday world” said Impinj CEO Chris Diorio. “Her expertise will be instrumental as we further diversify our solutions and expand our footprint across many industries including airlines.”
Wise led the successful merger of Delta and Northwest airlines’ technology and processes, combining more than 1,200 IT systems in what became recognized as a blueprint for airline mergers. She led a team of more than 2,000 professionals who innovated and leveraged technology solutions to enhance the customer experience with Delta. Prior to the merger, she served as SVP and CIO for Northwest Airlines since 2001.
