PARC, a Xerox company, and NCS, a wholly owned information, communications and technology (ICT) services provider of the Singtel Group, jointly announced its partnership to leverage PARC’s R&D environment to collaborate with NCS on technologies to serve customers in Singapore and other markets within the region.
NCS and PARC will work together to offer PARC’s Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) technologies with NCS’ applications development, sensor, analytics, and system integration capabilities.
“CBM is an important set of software and sensor technologies that help maintain and improve failing equipment and infrastructure, like trains, roads and bridges,” said Aki Ohashi, PARC’s director of business development. “Of course, as systems around the world age, we need innovative solutions to ensure these systems can continue to operate and remain safe. PARC’s work in this area is helping global companies innovate in the area of systems maintenance, and we look forward to working with NCS to expand our reach.”

As service budgets continue to be stretched, maintenance, operations, manufacturing and design teams are under tremendous pressure to maximize system life and utilization without compromising safety and operational uptime.
