Jabil officially opened its newly expanded Nypro healthcare manufacturing facility in Tiszaújváros, Hungary, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated with customers. The expansion adds 465 m2 to the dedicated facility, now totaling 2,000 m2.
The development allows Nypro, a Jabil Company, to expand existing European manufacturing capabilities into a complete solution both current and potential customers in the advanced human diagnostics and life science markets. Nypro provides design, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain solutions to leading brands of medical devices, human diagnostics, pharmaceutical delivery systems and consumer health.
The event was attended by Mayor György Bráz; member of Parliament Ferenc Koncz; representative of the 6th Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county district; Péter Győri, operations manager for Tiszaújváros, and other Nypro leadership.
“Nypro first started operations at Jabil’s Tiszaújváros plant in 2014. Over the past four years and based on customer needs, we have grown dynamically, making this significant expansion inevitable. With our new manufacturing facility, we are showing our commitment to long-term partnerships with both our current and potential customers in the diagnostic and medical sectors,” said Péter Győri, operations manager for Tiszaújváros.
