Zebra Technologies Corporation said Cristen Kogl, Zebra’s current VP and assistant general counsel will assume the role of SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary, effective Sept. 1, 2018. She succeeds Jim Kaput who is retiring after nine years as Zebra’s general counsel.
As general counsel, Kogl will lead Zebra’s legal department, providing guidance on a wide range of matters including Zebra’s corporate governance, go to market strategy, intellectual property, and regulatory and compliance matters impacting the company’s operations and industry.
“Cristen is a welcome addition to Zebra’s Executive Leadership Team,” said Anders Gustafsson, CEO, Zebra Technologies. “Cristen has provided superb legal support across Zebra during her tenure; and along with her record of accomplishment, she has served as a model of our corporate values. We are confident she will continue to play an important role in helping us drive our strategic priorities.

We wish him well in his future endeavors.”
Kogl joined Zebra in 2015 as VP, corporate counsel. She was promoted to assistant general counsel and assistant corporate secretary in 2017.

Prior to joining Zebra, Kogl served as VP, corporate secretary and chief compliance officer at W.W. Grainger, Inc. and VP, deputy general counsel and corporate secretary at The ServiceMaster Company. Kogl also served as general counsel at National Express LLC and Spyglass, Inc.
