Lithuania Post equips its postal workers with almost 2,000 Zebra ZQ510 mobile printers as part of its Smart Postman Project to improve customer satisfaction, Zebra Technologies Corporation announced.
A recent Lithuania Post survey showed 76% of its customers are satisfied or more satisfied with these services compared to traditional post office services.
With 500+ post offices, Lithuania Post has 106 mobile service locations.
It needed to maintain an efficient postal service nationwide particularly in rural areas with fewer post offices, so it deployed the latest mobile technology to enable its postmen to deliver postal services, cost-efficiently and directly to customers’ homes.
Having used Zebra devices in other parts of its organization, Lithuania Post selected ZQ510 mobile printers for their form factor, user-friendly interface, reliability and ruggedness.
“This is yet another stage in the implementation of the planned modernization strategy of Lithuania Post,” said V. Budrienė, head of Corporate Affairs Department, Lithuania Post. “And potentially more printers and other Zebra hardware devices will be deployed as the customer satisfaction improvement projects continue across the country.”
Designed in collaboration with Lithuania Post and Zebra partner, UAB Informacinių technologijų organizacija (iTo), the ZQ510 prints proofs of delivery and postage, failed delivery notifications, subscription order confirmations and receipts.
Zebra’s mobile printing solution includes accessories and Print DNA Profile Manager Enterprise and Bluetooth Printer Management tools, better equipping front-line workers to do their jobs in the field.
