RAIN Alliance is having its annual Americas regional meeting in Greenville, SC, Feb. 4-6.
This meeting hosted by Confidex, and sponsored by Aware Innovations, Metalcraft, Printronix, and Times-7 starts the 2020 round of regional meetings.
The RAIN Alliance Europe meeting is June 23-25, in Helsinki, Finland, and will be hosted by Nordic ID, Stora Enso, and Voyantic.
The sponsors include EM Microelectronic and Cisper.
This is the second Connections Summit – joint meetings with RAIN Alliance, NFC Forum, and AIM Global. The RAIN Alliance Asia meeting is Sept. 28-Oct. 2 in Singapore. The Asia meeting is also a joint meeting with IEEE.
“At the RAIN meeting in Greenville, we are pleased to welcome over 10 new members, bringing the total membership to 170 member organizations,” said Steve Halliday, president of the RAIN RFID Alliance. “The strong, global growth of RAIN RFID technology is happening across many industries, as billions of items are tagged annually and connected to the Internet of Things. The Alliance is also pleased to announce that tag chip sales in 2019 grew to 18.5 billion, 20% more than 2018.”
The new members include American Label, Connected Hire, Gillespie Manners, Hana Technologies, MaxWave Microelectronics, Newave, OPP IOT, Printronix, Samsung, SATO, SES RFID Solutions, and Smooth & Sharp.
Membership in the RAIN Alliance is open to all companies that have an interest in RAIN RFID technology, including manufacturers, software developers, system integrators, academia, test houses and end-users. Membership details can be found on the website.
