ARMOR solar power films (ARMOR Group) was declared the winner of the German Sustainability Award in the "Climate" category.
The ceremony was held in Dusseldorf in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Olaf Scholz and German Development Minister Dr. Gerd Müller.
The German Sustainability Award honors the best contributors in the fields of climate, resources, biodiversity and society.
Among the shortlisted competitors were the non-profit search engine Ecosia, the maker of Thin-film solar modules First Solar, the GLS community bank, the eco-energy supplier NATURSTROM, the manufacturer, marketer and refiner of biochar NovoCarbo, the offshore Wind farm operator Ørsted Wind Power Germany, the technology and service company Robert Bosch and the manufacturer of pumps and pump systems Wilo.
"We are more than honored to receive this award, even more with regard to the high quality level of finalists. ASCA Organic Photovoltaics is really a revolution. It motivates us to continue working hard on it, to deploy all its capacities," said Ralph Paetzold, CEO of ARMOR solar power films GmbH (the German branch of ARMOR solar power films).
