Confidex has sustainability as one of the company’s strategic cornerstones and the intention is to be the ecological thought leader in the RFID industry.
As another small step towards this goal was the Green Tuesday campaign that was launched on Dec. 1, 2020, to raise awareness and to take concrete actions to help our environment.
The Baltic Sea is one of the most polluted seas in the world.
Urgent and concrete action needs to be taken on multiple fronts, and time is running out.
The John Nurminen Foundation has been dedicated to saving the Baltic Sea for almost three decades now. As a result of the foundation’s projects, the atrophying phosphorus load to the Baltic Sea has been reduced by thousands of tons, significantly reducing the number of blue-green algae in the sea.
With Finnish roots, Confidex has a strong connection with the Baltic Sea.
The campaign was created with the company's partner network as the target group.
For each purchase order placed by its partners during the Green Tuesday week, Confidex would donate 3 % of the order value to the John Nurminen Foundation.
As a result of the campaign, Confidex managed to collect the amount that enables the removal of 21 tons of toxic blue-green algae.
