Zebra Technologies announced that Havan, Brazil’s largest department store retailer, has improved customer service quality, inventory management and product delivery in its stores and warehouses with Zebra’s RFID solutions. By augmenting operational visibility, the retailer quickly reduced cycle counting times by 97% and increased order accuracy to 99%.
To manage more than 350,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs) and meet the needs of more than 100 million Brazilian customers, Havan selected Zebra RFID printers and sleds to improve inventory visibility and worker productivity across its supply chain and logistics operations.
Zebra’s ZT410 RFID printers tag products at the manufacturing source of its suppliers while Zebra’s ZT230 printers and RFD8500 RFID sleds rapidly identify, track and locate products in Havan’s distribution centers and more than 170 stores.
“Zebra’s RFID solutions have been a success for our business and associates, who have quickly adopted the technology, improved inventory visibility and delivered better and faster service to our customers, whether online or in the store,” said Alexandro Elói Venancio, IT manager of Havan.
Before deploying Zebra’s solutions, Havan struggled to receive, find and pick products and had difficulty reading poorly printed barcodes. After implementing Zebra’s RFID printers and handhelds, worker productivity improved and Havan was able to develop an omnichannel strategy, offering different delivery options, such as click and collect, to its customers.
“Zebra offers solutions for the retail industry to help them scale and energize their customer experience strategy with a digital backbone that unifies teams, injects real-time visibility, and drives results,” said Vanderlei Ferreira, VP and GM of Zebra Technologies in Brazil.
Havan is one of the Latin American winners of the international RFID Journal Awards, which globally recognize successful RFID implementations. The retailer is now known internationally as an innovator in the retail industry through the automation of its operations with cutting-edge technology.
