Avery Dennison announced that it has opened I.Lab, an innovation center that demonstrates various types of RFID inlays and digital ID solutions in South Korea.
The I.Lab is a showroom where customers can visit and experience RFID technology. This is the 6th global innovation center opened by Avery Dennison after the US, the Netherlands, India, Brazil and China. The space is divided into seven different industry segments (apparel, beauty, healthcare, food & beverage, logistics, aviation and automotive) and visitors can interact with physical demonstrations designed to learn and experience the benefits of RFID in “real world” applications
“It is very exciting to open our 6th global I.Lab in South Korea,” said Marcel Cote, sales and marketing director APAC, Avery Dennison Smartrac. “South Korea is one of the world’s advanced countries in the IT field, and is actively testing and applying RFID technology in various applications before any other region in the world, and expects a very high level of technology and service. Therefore, we expect to introduce RFID technology and make various success cases in new industrial environments. Also, the I.Lab is expected to be a space where our team can fulfill these efforts together with our solution partners in South Korea.”

The South Korea I.Lab will accelerate the awareness and demand for RFID technology. They also plan to provide RFID academy programs for corporate customers considering integrating RFID technology.
