Printed Electronics Europe 2016, organized by IDTechEx and held from April 27-29 in Berlin, is now complete. As in past years, the conference included a variety of co-located conferences that overlap with printed electronics and each other: 3D Printing Europe, Energy Harvesting & Storage Europe, Electric Vehicles, Graphene & 2D Materials, Internet of Things Applications Europe, Sensors Europe and Wearable Europe.
Raghu Das, IDTechEx’s CEO, said that Printed Electronics Europe 2016 was a success in terms of attendance and participation among end users.
“Attendance at the event grew by almost 25% versus the show last year,” Das reported. “There were attendees from 57 countries, and there were 171 exhibiting organizations. Feedback from exhibitors and attendees has been tremendous, with space for next year already being quickly booked.”
There were plenty of end users appearing at Printed Electronics Europe 2016, with prominent companies such as Coca Cola, Toyota, Jaguar Land Rover, Intel, Google, LG Display, Jabil, JC Decaux, Ravensburger and others presenting talks on how they are using the technology or what they need to be able to benefit from printed electronics. Das noted that this is a good sign for the industry.
“The strong attendance from different end users from different verticals meant that real business discussions were taking place as end user needs came together with the different technology solutions,” Das reported.
IDTechEx’s next conference, Printed Electronics USA 2016, will be held Nov. 16-17 in Santa Clara, CA.
