As LOPE-C (Large-area, Organic & Printed Electronics) 2013 prepares to open its doors at Messe Munchen in Munich, Germany today, organic and printed electronics industry leaders are looking forward to showcasing the latest innovations and products from the industry.
The conference, sponsored by the OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association) and Messe Munchen, has a busy slate of talks scheduled for June 12, beginning with the Plenary Session.
After opening remarks by Wolfgang Mildner, LOPE-C chairman, OE-A board member and managing director of PolyIC GmbH & Co KG, and Thomas Kreuzer, a Bavarian state leader, LOPE-C attendees will hear about the possibilities of printed electronics from Audi, CDT, Thin Film Electronics and others.
Audi AG will be represented by Stephan Berlitz, head of lighting innovations and lighting functions, who will discuss “OLED – Challenges for Automotive Lighting.” Printed electronics components have been appearing in cars, and it is seen as a strong growth area.
“OLED lighting is an important topic at Audi for interior and exterior lighting, and Audi prototypes with OLEDs will be presented,” Dr. Klaus Hecker, OE-A managing director, said.
Dr. Jeremy Burroughes, chief technology officer of CDT, will talk on “Organic Electronics Research at CDT,” and Thin Film Electronics CEO Dr. Davor Sutija will offer his thoughts on “A Smarter Everyday Powered by Printed Electronics.”
After the Plenary Session, the June 12 conference breaks into Technical and Science Conferences, each with two concurrent tracks.
