On the occasion of LogiMAT, the International Trade Fair for Distribution, Materials Handling and Information Flow in Stuttgart (Germany), Smartrac launches new Belt and DogBone inlays featuring latest UCODE products from NXP’s RAIN RFID chip family. While retaining the market leading features of the Belt and DogBone inlay ranges, the new inlays offer extended memory or superior cryptographic security.
UCODE 7xm and 7xm+ are the newest generation of NXP’s UCODE products, designed for applications which require extended memory, supporting 1 kbit / 2 kbit of user memory and 448 bit EPC memory. In addition, UCODE DNA is the world’s first UHF IC to combine long-range read performance with cryptographic authentication.
Each IC’s product characteristics are fully leveraged in the respective Smartrac Belt and DogBone inlays as they offer compact size, high performance and are particularly suitable for automotive, industrial and supply chain applications.
Belt and DogBone also offer excellent performance on difficult-to-tag or low-detuning materials such as cardboard and plastic, and in other demanding environments.
“By launching Belt and DogBone inlays that incorporate some of the most advanced model options of NXP’s highly regarded UCODE ICs, we are very pleased to be able to further expanding enhanced product offerings, and together with our long-term partner NXP we are extending to additional important markets such as logistics, industrial and automotive”, said Peter Walendy, SVP, Intelligent Things Business Division at Smartrac Technology Group.
