Jürgen Schiffer was appointed as CFO of Meyer Burger Technology AG, effective Oct. 1, 2020.
Schiffer, who succeeds the retiring Manfred Häner, will also become a member of the Executive Board.
In addition to his core competencies in finance & controlling, Schiffer has gained experience as a management consultant and interim manager in dealing with complex turnaround situations.
The responsibilities of the new CFO include transforming the existing structures and aligning reporting with Meyer Burger's new business model as a technologically leading manufacturer of solar cells and solar modules.
Schiffer is already familiar with the solar industry from his previous work for solar companies such as Conergy AG and Q-Cells AG.
"Jürgen Schiffer, with his profound financial knowledge and extensive experience in transformation processes, is the ideal person to accompany Meyer Burger in the upcoming growth phase," Chairman of the Board of Directors Franz Richter said.
