Tim Brosnihan Appointed Executive Director of SEMI MEMS & Sensors Industry Group

He will direct MSIG global activities including its R&D, standards, and technical programs.

SEMI announced the appointment of Timothy Brosnihan as executive director of the MEMS & Sensors Industry Group (MSIG), a SEMI Strategic Association partner.

Brosnihan brings to MSIG extensive MEMS and sensors, product development and manufacturing experience.

In his new role, he will direct MSIG global activities including its research and development, standards, and technical programs. Brosnihan will also spearhead MSIG executive conferences and develop new services for the MEMS and sensors industry.

Brosnihan began his electronics industry career at Analog Devices and later assumed engineering director roles at Pixtronics and Qualcomm.

Most recently, he served as director of MEMS Development at Cirrus Logic. He holds 20 patents and has presented at conferences organized by IEEE, Transducers, SPIE and other professional societies.
