than eight months after unveiling its strategy to empower the ecosystem of connected things, SMARTRAC welcomes ticketing and RFID tagging solutions specialist FineLine Technologies as the first commercial user of the company’s cloud-based platform SMART COSMOS.
SMART COSMOS is part of SMARTRAC’s portfolio of tightly integrated cloud-based services that enable system integrators, IT departments and software engineers to rapidly deploy new types of RFID solutions and make the Internet of Things come alive.
Utilizing one of the platform services, FineLine Technologies is introducing its RFID tags quality management application QCTrak. It offers retailers a tool that improves reliability of RFID tags arriving at stores resulting in performance improvements and faster ROI of RFID programs. Furthermore, QCTrak is a ready built “RFID Ticket Compliance Tool” which can be tailored to each retailer’s needs and implemented across large supplier networks. QCTrak users benefit from hassle-free detection of counterfeit RFID inlays and reliable license verification status.
“SMARTRAC is leading RFID technology by being the first inlay provider that makes critical quality control data available to partners and end-users,” said George Hoffman, CEO of FineLine Technologies. “By leveraging SMART COSMOS we can improve system performance and ROI of RFID programs in the retail business, contributing to our customers’ success.”
“We are pleased to have FineLine Technologies at our side as the first commercial user of SMART COSMOS. Together we will now start and fulfill our promise to provide an exciting example of the literally endless possibilities of SMART COSMOS services. I am more than confident that this is the beginning of a long-lasting success story,” adds Torsten Strauch, head of business segment retail at SMARTRAC.
