As LOPE-C 2013 begins in Munich today, exhibitors are preparing to show attendees the latest advances from their companies.
“LOPE-C is always a key event for us for nurturing existing relationships and meeting new clients,” said Stan Farnsworth, vice president of marketing at NovaCentrix, which will be showcasing its PulseForge tools and Metalon conductive inks. “We will also be highlighting NovaCentrix’ new contract R2R manufacturing services which are coming on-line in Q3 this year.”
Juergen Kreis, director, business development at AIXTRON SE, said that AIXTRON will exhibit on the joint COPT booth. “We will be delighted to explain our core competences and portfolio,” Kreis added.
“In addition to the R2R line on the “Production Floor,” where we will be showcasing along with Coatema how the use of pulsed light is easily integrated for inline processing, Xenon will be exhibiting the Sinteron 2010 high performance, flexible sintering system for silver and copper processing,” said Lou Panico, CEO of Xenon Corporation. “We are expecting more people to begin turning the page from R&D to production and requesting proposals for our new Sinteron 5000 R2R Production System. Furthermore, we expect additional requests to join our worldwide test site program, which now enjoys 25 member organizations and growing.”
Dr. Wolfgang Schmidt of Schoeller Technocell GmbH & Co. KG said that Schoeller is highlighting its p_e:smart paper grades as well as functional coatings.
“We have working demonstrators at our booth, showing examples of what can be realized with our paper in the field of printed and large area electronics,” Dr. Schmidt added. “Our proprietary technology enables printing metallic conductive structures on p_e:smart paper substrates without any thermal processing after printing. We expect many fruitful technical discussions with existing partners and new contacts from all technical fields and along the entire value chain – from material suppliers (as we are) to end users, from researchers and graduates to marketing experts.”
Nicolas Bernardin, deputy managing director and co-founder of Ceradrop, said that
Ceradrop will showcase the official commercial availability of the adphosNIR technology integrated in line in its CeraPrinter X-Serie.
“We are announcing the possibility for the users of our technology to dry or cure very rapidly his just-printed components,” Bernardin added. “This ensures that production machinery can include effective and efficient drying and curing steps. Throughout the duration of the exhibition, components printing demonstrations will be realized in collaboration with our partners Arjowiggins, adphos and Sun Chemical to show the way we answered some market requirements. LOPE-C is a good opportunity for us to exhibit all our competences and all the latest innovations of our printer range that permit us to make easier inkjet printing for printed electronics.”
“adphos will use several live demonstrations of our adphosNIR photonic drying and sintering technology to display possible production scenarios in functional printing,” added Dr. Kai K.O. Baer, managing director at adphos Digital Printing GmbH. “In addition to the Upscaling Production Demo Line, we are processing conductive flexographic and screen printing inks in our booth and drying and sintering inkjet ink in the Ceradrop booth.”
“For PolyIC, LOPE-C is the place where we show our latest developments demonstrators and achievements and state-of-the-art technology,” said Wolfgang Mildner, managing director at PolyIC GmbH & Co. KG. “For example, this year we will show a demonstrator out of an automotive application of our PolyTC touch sensor.”
Dr. Stephan Kirchmeyer of Heraeus Precious Metals GmbH & Co. KG, who is OE-A’s chairman, said that Heraeus will show progress in materials (conductive polymers) for several applications
“This will be the first time we will have a polymer that allows 50 ohm per m² as transparent electrode,” Dr. Kirchmeyer added. “We also successfully added solvent-based grades (e.g. in toluene) to our portfolio, which was water-based up to now.”
