With cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 still on the rise, we wanted to see how it may be impacting our industry/readership specifically.

Recently, we conducted an anonymous poll to gauge how companies are handling myriad issues – from travel to sales to supply chain – related to the spread of COVID-19, which the World Health Organization declared as a pandemic on March 11, 2020.

By business activity, poll respondents were comprised of those who are printed electronics designers and manufacturers (36%); raw material producers or suppliers (16%); researchers (18%) and other (13%), which includes consultants, academia, etc.

(Respondents were allowed to select more than one product category)

By job function, 28% are in corporate management; 31% are in R&D/formulation; 23% in sales/marketing management, with engineering, purchasing and other making up the rest.

Here are results from the poll:

We asked: Are you having any supply chain issues with any of the following items? If so what? (Respondents were allowed to choose more than one answer).

Responses: Chemicals (36%), contract manufacturing services (30%), electronic materials (30%), inks and coatings (26%) were among the most.
