OE-A Competition, Start-up Forum Winners Announced at LOPEC 2023

The next LOPEC is scheduled to take place on March 5-7, 2024.
There are plenty of interesting applications where flexible and printed electronics can find opportunities, as seen at the OE-A Competition 2023, held at LOPEC 2023, the international exhibition and conference for printed electronics, in Munich, Germany.
From smart skis to 3D formed smart sensors and much more, attendees saw a range of innovative concepts that may someday revolutionize the world we live in. Organized by the Organic and Printed Electronics Association, a working group within VDMA, this competition challenges the printed electronics industry. The best submissions were rewarded at LOPEC 2023.
The awards were distributed during the LOPEC Dinner & Award Show to the following winners:
• Best Prototype & New Product: Large Area Connecting Device by InnovationLab GmbH
• Best Freestyle Demo: Printed Perovskite Solar Energy Module by VTT
• Best Publicly Funded Project Demo: Smart Ski by Joanneum Research Forschungsgesellschaft mbH, Fraunhofer FEP, Tampere University, Varta AG, and VTT
Public Choice Award
• 3D Formed Touch Sensor by Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart
The Start-up Forum offers entrepreneurs and start-ups the opportunity to present their ideas, businesses, and products in a short talk, with the goal of adding partners and investors for their project. Two awards were presented for the Startup Forum:
• Best Business Case: Molecular Plasma Group
Best Impactful Technology or Product: Noxon GmbH
