"On the morning of Monday, March 23, 2020, Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker issued a statewide stay-at-home order (otherwise known has shelter-in-place) beginning Tuesday, March 24, 2020, until Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
"Per this announcement, all non-essential businesses must close their physical workplaces and facilities to all workers, customers, and the public.
"Essential businesses, including those of the health care & public health sector, are allowed to continue operations during this time.
"As a supplier of components serving the health care & public health sector, Tekscan is considered an essential business that may continue operations through the statewide stay-at-home order.
All Tekscan employees needed to produce, test, ship, and bill Tekscan products will continue to report for work at our South Boston, MA, facility for the near future.
"In reality, Tekscan has already been in compliance with this statewide mandate since last Monday, March 16. All Tekscan employees that have had the ability to work from home have done so with minimal interruptions to productivity over this time. This was done in an effort to minimize exposure to personnel continuing to work at our facility.
"The safety and wellbeing of our team, partners, and our customers remain our top priority, and we will continue to monitor and follow official guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other public health officials. We expect the order process to continue operating as usual and will share updates with you as they happen."
