PakSense, Inc. has been awarded the U.S. Commerce Department’s Export Achievement Certificate. The award, which was presented during World Trade Day on May 7, recognizes companies that have worked with the Commerce Department’s U.S. Commercial Service Export Assistance Center to open new foreign markets and significantly increase exports.
PakSense began working with the Export Assistance Center in 2007. At that time, the company was exporting its PakSense Ultra temperature monitoring label to less than 20 countries. Since then, PakSense has relied on the Export Assistance Center to provide background checks on potential international distributors and has received counseling on export regulations to targeted international markets.
“Since we began working with the Export Assistance Center, PakSense has more than doubled the number of countries to which it exports,” said Gerd Uitdewillgen, international sales manager at PakSense. “We now export to more than 45 countries with export sales accounting for more than 25% of our sales in the first quarter of 2008.”
