SCM Microsystems, Inc., d.b.a. Identive Group, a leading provider of products, services and solutions for the security, identification and RFID industries, has adopted new stock trading symbols, effective today. On the NASDAQ Stock Exchange, the stock symbol has changed from SCMM to INVE. On the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the stock symbol has changed from SMY to INV. The new trading symbols correspond with the new name under which the company is now operating, Identive Group.
As approved by Identive Group’s stockholders, 15,299,797 new shares of Identive Group have been issued to the accounts of Bluehill ID shareholders who accepted the voluntary public exchange offer to tender their shares in the recently completed business combination. As a result, Identive Group now has 40,434,782 common shares outstanding.
Identive Group intends to seek stockholder approval in the future to amend its certificate of incorporation to officially change its name and in the interim will continue to file its annual, quarterly and current reports under SCM Microsystems, Inc. The individual operating businesses of Identive Group will continue to use their existing brands, which include SCM Microsystems, Hirsch, Multicard, Tagstar, Arygon, Syscan and ACiG Technology.
