UPM RFID is introducing two inlays featuring the NXP UCODE G2iL chip: the UPM Stamp NF (near field) UHF inlay and UPM Jewel UHF inlay. These new inlays will also be available with the NXP UCODE G2iM chip.
UPM Stamp NF UHF inlay with NXP UCODE G2iL IC is ideal for item-level applications where a small footprint is required, such as electronics and cosmetics. UPM Jewel UHF inlay with NXP UCODE G2iL IC is designed for jewelry and accessories tagging.
Samples for UPM Stamp and UPM Jewel NXP UCODE G2iL products are immediately available from local UPM RFID sales representatives.
UPM RFID is also upgrading several products to the NXP UCODE G2iM UHF chip. The NXP UCODE G2iM comes equipped with 128 to 448 bits of EPC memory, and an unalterable TID of 96 bits including a 48-bit unique serial number. Additional user memory offers up to 640 bits.
UPM Belt is a great choice for supply chain management and item-level retail apparel. UPM DogBone delivers optimal performance in demanding logistical and industrial applications. UPM ShortDipole is suitable for demanding supply chain management applications. UPM Web and UPM MiniWeb are ideal for item-level apparel applications.
UPM RFID UHF products with the NXP UCODE G2iM chip are immediately available in sampling volumes. Volume deliveries start during Q2/2012 from UPM RFID’s converting and distribution partners worldwide.
These new UCODE G2iL and G2iM based products will be presented at UPM RFID booth 512 during RFID Journal Live! in Orlando, FL, on April 3-5, 2012.
“With seven new UCODE based inlays, UPM RFID’s customers can be sure to find the right tag for their application. The highlights are the new UPM Stamp and UPM Jewel, which are perfect for space-constrained products such as electronic devices or small form-factor fashion and jewellery items," says Chris Feige, general manager, tags and labels, NXP Semiconductors. "Furthermore, NXP's advanced UCODE G2iM chips with additional memory enable UPM RFID to offer higher read range tags with a flexible memory structure for markets including automotive or industrial. These applications are characterized by a need for more memory to store product, manufacturing or brand-owner related information.”
