TransCore ITS, an international leader in providing toll and traffic management solutions, announced that Tracy Marks has been named as president, succeeding John Simler.
Marks joined the company in 1993, and most recently served as senior vice president of both the Southern U.S. and International regions. In addition, he has been general manager of United Toll Systems, a growing product division within TransCore ITS.
"I’m excited to be stepping into this role and look forward to working with the best team in the industry as we move the company into the next chapter of its remarkable history," said Marks.
Marks earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky and holds his professional engineer license.
“Tracy’s customer focus and demonstrated ability to generate new business are well suited to our growth plans for TransCore ITS. He is a proven leader who will deliver outstanding solutions for customers and enhance the long-term growth for the company,” said Brian Jellison, Roper Industries’ chairman and CEO.
“John Simler can now focus on strategic growth opportunities in the broad RF segment. We thank John for his 26 years of leadership in building TransCore ITS into the premier company in the markets they serve,” concluded Jellison.
