MC10 announced that it has hired former Broadcom executive Scott Pomerantz as its new CEO and president.
Pomerantz joins MC10 from a seven-year career with Broadcom, a global leader in semiconductors for wired and wireless communications, where he most recently served as the senior vice president and general manager of Wireless Connectivity, Broadcom’s largest business.
Prior to Broadcom, he co-founded Global Locate, a GPS company where he served as CEO, president and chairman of the board before it was sold to Broadcom in 2007.
“We are thrilled that Scott will be the CEO of MC10 as we define the next generation of wearable electronics,” said Carmichael Roberts, MC10 co-founder and chairman of the board. “His strong background in building new product categories coupled with his proven business leadership in electronics makes Scott a perfect fit for MC10 as the company expands on its foundation of product innovation.”
“MC10 is the leader in next generation wearable, flexible and stretchable electronics, and I am deeply honored to have been chosen to lead the company into its next chapter,” Pomerantz said. “The opportunities ahead for MC10 are limitless. A big part of my job will be to help scale and grow our business and to capture significant share in our markets.”
With his leadership experience and wireless communications knowledge, Pomerantz will lead the company in its development of innovative wearable and stretchable electronics products and platforms.
