In addition to receiving SID’s prestigious Display Application of the Year Award, JDI’s participation includes a technical exhibition, several technical papers at the Symposium, and a presentation at the Automotive Display Market Focus Conference.
SID’s prestigious Display Application of the Year Award was bestowed upon JDI for two concave-curved TFT LCDs: a 15.0-inch 1920×1020 display with in-cell touch technology, and a 12.3-inch 1920×720 display. Both of the displays were released into mass production in 2018 for a top-tier automotive OEM for their dashboard application.
JDI’s exhibition will feature applied products and prototypes of ultra-high resolution LCDs for VR (virtual reality), reflective LCDs utilizing JDI’s core LTPS (low-temperature polysilicon) technology, transparent LCDs, industrial displays, organic EL displays, fingerprint sensors, and the award-winning LCDs for automobiles.
“We are delighted to award Japan Display, Inc. a Display Application of the Year Award for its curved LCDs for automotive dashboard,” said Wei Chen, SID’s Display Industry Awards Committee chairman.
