The award, established in 1984 and named after industry pioneer and former VP of AIM Global, is considered to be the highest honor given in the AIDC industry. It’s been presented to top executives, scientists and engineers in recognition of outstanding contributions that have furthered the growth of the industry. During White’s three-decade career, he has advocated the adoption of several innovative technologies within the AIDC industry and notably pioneered the Gen 2 RFID standard, leading many of the first passive RFID deployments in the retail, manufacturing and airline industries.
White is responsible for directing Zebra’s EMC business, including handhelds, tablets, wearables and vehicle-mounted mobile computers.
