Zebra Technologies Corporation announced that Law.com Corporate Counsel has honored Cristen Kogl, senior VP, general counsel and corporate secretary with the “Leadership Through Crisis: Successful Stories of Crisis Management by Industry” award as part of the Women, Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) Awards.
Kogl, who has been with Zebra since 2015, has been honored for leading Zebra’s legal response to challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. She is one of two women to receive the accolade in the General Counsel Awards category for the Technology, Media & Telecom industry.
In her current position, Kogl oversees the global legal practice, advising on matters regarding securities and governance, mergers and acquisitions, go-to-market strategy, intellectual property, and regulatory and compliance impacting the company’s operations and industries.
The work of Kogl and the global Zebra Legal team throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has ultimately allowed senior leaders to make decisions that prioritize employee health and safety and minimize impacts to Zebra’s business operations and customer fulfillment obligations.
The WIPL Awards (formerly known as the National Women in Law Awards) honor “top women lawyers who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession – whether in shaping the law, achieving outsized results for their clients, being an outstanding jurist or assisting those in need of legal services.”
