Nanosys appointed Dr. Homer Antoniadis to the newly created role of CYO. The hiring comes as Nanosys enters an era of aggressive growth and product commercialization.
“Homer is a great leader with a proven track record of innovation and success in bringing new emissive display technologies to market,” said Jason Hartlove, Nanosys’ president and CEO. “His deep expertise in materials, devices and processes for making photonic electronic products will help accelerate Nanosys’ development of high performance, flexible and low-cost displays based on our industry leading quantum dot and microLED technologies.”

Dr. Antoniadis is an accomplished display technology and product development leader who specializes in advancing display technology from R&D to mass manufacturing. His expertise spans technologies from tiny AR/VR microdisplays to the largest TV panels.
Prior to joining Nanosys he served for two years at ISF Incubator, funded by Intellectual Ventures, where he recruited and mentored Silicon Valley-based entrepreneurs to successfully launch startups in AR/VR holographic displays, haptics and spatial computing, photonic neuromorphic computing, as well as wearable and hearable devices.
Prior to ISF Incubator, Dr. Antoniadis worked as an EVP at Kateeva. Before that, he led DuPont’s Silicon Valley Technology Center and was the CTO of DuPont Photovoltaic Solutions, where he developed DuPont’s next-generation photovoltaic products. He joined Dupont through the acquisition of Innovalight, where he had been the CTO responsible for developing high-efficiency nano silicon-ink processed crystalline silicon solar cells.
Previously, he developed OLEDs and other display technologies at Osram, HP Labs, and Xerox where he held various management and engineering roles.
Dr. Antoniadis has published more than 70 technical papers in OLED displays, polymer materials, crystalline and amorphous silicon photovoltaics, and is a named inventor on more than 50 patents.
