Veridos is contributing to the UN Sustainability Goals, especially the 16.9 target, which states that every human being should have a legal identity by 2030.
Veridos has joined the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is a voluntary initiative based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to undertake partnerships in support of UN goals.
“Veridos supports the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption,”, said Veridos CEO Andreas Räschmeier. “While our past actions have already demonstrated clear support to advance the broader development goals of the UN, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals, the signing of the UNGC publicly underlines our commitment.”
With its solutions, Veridos is contributing to the UN Sustainability Goals, especially the 16.9 target, which states that every human being should have a legal identity by 2030. The impact of having a legal identity and an official form of identification, such as an ID card or passport, is immense.
For an individual, this not only means belonging to a country, but also guarantees access to social benefits and services such as health care, education, humanitarian aid and financial support. An official identity enables you to exercise your rights and responsibilities in society, such as the right to vote and the right to inheritance. A passport allows travel across borders for both business and leisure. An internationally recognized travel document is also important, for example, when someone needs medical care abroad.
