Carbon nanomaterial developer Canatu has announced its participation in SEMICON West 2022 Hybrid, which will be held from July 12-14, 2022. This hybrid event will be held online and in-person at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, USA.
SEMICON West is North America’s premier microelectronics industry trade show. The annual event brings together all sectors of the microelectronics supply chain, such as electronic design automation, design fabrication and final manufacturing. The program includes a variety of on-site keynotes, executive panels, tech talks, exhibitions and networking opportunities.
Aside from semiconductors, SEMICON West is also a showcase for emerging markets and technology related to the microelectronics industry, including micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), photovoltaics (PV), flexible electronics and displays, nanoelectronics, and solid-state lighting (LEDs).
Canatu will be represented in-person by CTO Ilkka Varjos, whose expertise lies in the company’s free-standing product line, semiconductors, and assessing emerging new applications for Canatu’s material innovation.
As volumes rise in semiconductor manufacturing, there is greater need to avoid defects on the wafer that can cause costly yield losses. Such defects are caused by very small particles that land on the photomask during printing. To mitigate this issue, Canatu offers a unique solution based on its free-standing CNT membranes that enable nanoscale debris filtering in a demanding environment.
