Heliatek and PETA Engineering have signed a distribution agreement to market and install significant volumes of Heliatek's solar films in the Republic of Korea.
The distribution agreement underscores the close collaboration between the two companies, which signed a strategic partnership agreement in early 2020 and have already completed two important projects in Korea. The first was a rooftop installation on a building gangway and the second one is a façade installation at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology. Both projects helped to understand the application potential and get experience in planning and installation the solar films.
“We are honored that our long-term partnership with PETA Engineering has now reached the next milestone by signing this strategically important distribution agreement for the Republic of Korea,” said Guido van Tartwijk, CEO of Heliatek. “Over the past two year, PETA was fully committed to our innovative solar solutions, that enable more building surfaces to become actives green electricity generators. In highly dense countries such as Korea, our solution can play a key role in the necessary energy transition and we are glad that PETA Engineering will help us as the strong partner, to market our solutions.”
“It is very meaningful that we could sign this agreement today after successful cooperation with Heliatek for the last six years,” added Kyoungwan Yoo, CEO of PETA Engineering. We are assured that OPV, truly green solar solution that conventional solar technology could not realize, will pioneer a new market.”
