onsemi announced the company has been included on Investor’s Business Daily’s (IBD) fourth annual 100 Best ESG Companies list for 2022, ranking 52nd. This is the second year in a row that onsemi has been included on the list.
To create this list, IBD goes through a detailed process of gathering environmental, social and governance (ESG) information for all publicly U.S.-traded companies with stock prices $10 and higher.
onsemi achieved a record amount of sustainable produce revenue since the last release of IBD’s 100 Best ESG Companies list, demonstrating the company’s strategic position to enable deep decarbonization across the most carbon-intense industries.
Additionally, onsemi saw a decrease in water withdrawal year-over-year and an increase in female leadership at the executive level. The company has also released more information about its net-zero goal and strategies to achieve its ambitious target. These include the exploration of investment in renewable and clean energy, installation of abatement technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its semiconductor manufacturing process and engaging with suppliers to reduce the carbon impact of its supply chain.
“We are proud to be included on Investor’s Business Daily’s list of Best ESG Companies for the second consecutive year,” said Kim Luu, senior director of sustainability and ESG at onsemi. “This recognition attests to the ability of our teams across the globe to deliver product breakthrough technologies that help our customers achieve their carbon emission reduction goals while ensuring our own business operations are in line with our net-zero goal by 2040.”
